Celebrity interior designer, Lisa Hensby, founder of Lisa Hensby Design & Build Studio, has launched a new interiors podcast featuring her famous clients. Starting on Friday 9th October, Heart & Home is an honest conversation about what it really takes to get a home right, and Lisa’s first podcast guest is Coronation Street’s Sally Dynevor.
- BBC Radio 2's Owain Wyn Evans: ‘I love a good nosy around people’s homes and I’m going behind the curtain of what we see on social media!’
- Feng Shui expert Cliff Tan: ‘Moving furniture around can actually change your life – as long as you understand how and why’
In episode one, Sally talks about the house she and husband, Tim, fell for before they’d even stepped through the door, why she mixes antiques with modern pieces, and the bedrooms Lisa designed for Sally’s children, Hattie and Sam.
‘I came to Lisa with two very different rooms,’ says Sally. ‘My daughter Hattie needed storage, and lots of it! Her original wardrobes had hardly any hanging space, and there was no room for a chest of drawers. My son Sam’s room just needed a lift. Fresh colour, a new bed, beside tables and lamps.’

The aim of the podcast is simple – listeners should come away with ideas they can use in their own homes, whatever they’re spending. ‘It’s the podcast version of the promise I make to every client: “Let me put a little love into your home”,’ says Lisa.
As well as the colours schemes and reveals, Heart & Home gets into the practical side of the makeover projects, including briefs, budgets and timings, and delves into the decisions that worked and the ones that didn’t.
‘Heart & Home is an honest conversation, and if one listener avoids an expensive mistake because of something they’ve heard, that’s a job well done,’ Lisa says.
Five further episodes will be released weekly on Fridays, with guests including Anya Lawrence (Hollyoaks), Lucy-Jo Hudson (Coronation Street and Wild at Heart), Ross Adams (Hollyoaks and The Good Ship Murders), Angela Lonsdale (Coronation Street) and Steph Waring (Hollyoaks).
Heart & Home is filmed at Nova Studios and available on Spotify and YouTube. Follow the podcast on Instagram @heartandhomepodcastlh and follow Lisa @lisahensbydesign
