TV presenter Stacey Solomon has revealed more rooms at Pickle Project, the mansion in the Essex countryside she recently moved into with husband Joe Swash and their five children. Having already introduced her 6.1million Instagram followers to her bedroom and ensuite, Stacey has now posted a guided tour of the grand entrance hall and living room.

Stacey Solomon's epic new hallway

For a property of this size, the entrance hall is as impressive as you would expect with an open, L-shaped staircase in heavily carved dark wood. Reminding her of the one from the 1990 film, Stacey calls it ‘the Home Alone hallway of my childhood dreams’. Having named her bathroom ‘the Scarface bathroom’, it seems a film set theme is developing!

While loving the staircase, Stacey questions whether the wood is too dark and if it should be sanded or painted, asking her followers for advice. In the meantime, she has made the most of the space and ornate bannisters to create an autumn-themed display with russet-coloured leaf garlands, candle lanterns and pumpkins.

Stacey Solomon reveals her new living room

Revealing the dual-aspect living room for the first time, Stacey says it is one of her favourite rooms in the house: ‘It’s so beautiful, there’s so much light - the windows, the tall ceilings.’ This room, which is currently decorated in lemon yellow and features ceiling beams, dado rail and large windows dressed with floor-length swagged curtains, also features a carved wooden fireplace that is so tall Stacey can stand under the mantelpiece.

‘It’s the biggest fireplace I’ve seen in my life, it’s taller than me!’ says Stacey, adding that she is unsure whether to keep it, as while she finds it pretty with the brickwork and carved wood details, the height creates an optical illusion which makes the room look short.

When it comes to the floor, Stacey has no such doubts. Featuring long, solid wood floorboards, she reveals her plans to refurbish them, bringing back the natural beauty of the wood. ‘I can’t wait to hire one of those big sanders and sand it all back and then restain it because there are some light changes from the windows. But imagine this all in a dark walnut. I can’t wait!’
